GLP‑1 Atlas

About GLP-1 Atlas

Who writes GLP-1 Atlas, why it exists, how it is funded, and what it deliberately is not — including what we do not publish.

GLP-1 Atlas is a reference for people taking GLP-1 medication. It exists because the useful information about this treatment is scattered across prescribing documents written for clinicians, forum threads written from memory, and marketing pages written to sell something.

What was missing was the middle: accurate, sourced, and written in the language a person actually uses when they are three weeks in and wondering whether what they are feeling is normal.

What this site is not

Who writes it

GLP-1 Atlas is written and maintained by the team behind Vela, an app for tracking GLP-1 treatment.

We are not clinicians, and we say so plainly rather than implying otherwise. What we bring is the work of reading the primary documents carefully — prescribing information, pharmacokinetic studies, trial results — and translating them without losing what they actually say. Where the evidence is uncertain, the page says it is uncertain. Where a number is an average across a trial population, the page says that too.

Our editorial standards set out how sourcing, review and corrections work.

How the app relates to this site

Vela is how this site pays for itself. We think that is a more honest funding model than advertising or affiliate commissions, both of which create pressure to write things that sell rather than things that are true.

The practical consequence is a rule we hold ourselves to: an article mentions the app only where the app genuinely does the thing the article is about, and every article is complete without it. If you never install anything, these pages should still have been worth your time.
